Exercising and keeping fit is important at any age but even more so as we grow older, and for menopausal women that is especially true. Exercise helps us keep off the pounds that can start piling on when our estrogen levels begin to dip, but for many of us finding the time to exercise has been a luxury, with other commitments like family and jobs coming first. And then when we do finally commit to a regular regime – hello! All the aches and pains associated with age really kick in.

You’ll be needing to replace the essential minerals and nutrients lost during exercise, and your muscles are going to need time and a little help to recover. Our concentrated Australian-mined magnesium lotion is designed to speed recovery by naturally relaxing tired muscles and help prevent injury by loosening tight muscles. It can be taken as a supplement or in this case applied to the skin, which allows the magnesium to enter the bloodstream faster and increases the amount of magnesium in the body tissues.

In this lovely lotion, we’ve teamed magnesium up with a bunch of healing and relaxation friends that can help reduce inflammation and the pain associated with arthritis.

WHAT’S IN IT AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

Magnesium is present in every human organ and is considered a vital mineral for over 300 biochemical reactions in our body that regulate our health and wellness. It has many benefits related to exercise including muscle relaxation, bruise control, and improving joint mobility and repair. Magnesium can also have positive effects on the nervous system by providing relaxation and improving sleep. Anxiety and sleeplessness go hand in hand with menopause – magnesium is another little weapon in your arsenal against stress and fatigue.

Australian emu oil has been used for decades as a remedy for reducing surface inflammation around wounds and for relieving muscle pain associated with sport and exercise. It also contributes to general health and wellbeing, being rich in Omega-3 and omega-6 and containing vitamins A, D, E, F, and K2.

Coconut oil makes an appearance here for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, taking care of two of the less desirable by-products of exercising. It will also make you smell like a goddess.

Vitamin E is widely used in skin care products for its healing and moisturising properties. It also has antioxidant properties, protecting your cells against the effects of free radicals and it’s important for vision and the health of your blood, brain, and skin. You need them all so go the Vitamin E.

Arnica is a herb that grows in America and Europe and which has been a common remedy for treating swelling, pain, and irritation for over 500 years. It’s used by naturopaths to this day in gels and ointments for painful arthritis symptoms especially in the joints of the hands and knees.
